We practice and teach Hatha Yoga in the Sivananda style, based on the 5 points of Yoga:
- Proper exercise or Asanas (steady pose)
- Proper breathing or Pranayama (the control of prana or vital force)
- Proper relaxation (physical, mental & spiritual) or Savasana
- Proper diet (vegetarian)
- Positive thinking & meditation
Our Yoga classes last for 90 minutes each and consist of a combination of postures, breath work, and relaxation. Previous knowledge of Yoga is not necessary.
Meditation sessions with devotional chants, mantras, and readings of the teachings of Swami Sivananda or other masters may be booked in the early mornings. We have a collection of books and videos about Yoga and spiritual development at your disposal in our small library.
